IIL engages through collaborations and partnerships with Ministry of Health; Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying; Medical Services Corporations; Directorates of Animal Health; Directorates of Health; Defence and other Central and State PSUs. IIL ranks very high among its customers and distinctly differentiates others with its broad technical support; and customer service.
Entry of IIL into Anti Rabies Vaccine (ARV) helped State & Central Government Institutions to phase out old reactogenic nerve tissue vaccine. IIL is one of the preferred and major suppliers to the State and Central Government Institutions. In addition, IIL is a major supplier to the Universal Immunization Program (UIP) run by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for Pentavalent vaccine, DPT, Hepatitis-B and TT vaccines. IIL is instrumental in implementing intradermal route of administration of Anti Rabies Vaccine (IDARV) in the country to minimize the cost of usage of ARV for the State Government institutions.
IIL is a major supplier of Foot and Mouth disease (FMD) vaccine to FMD Control programme (FMD-CP) since 2003, which is now known as NADCP (National Animal Disease Control Programme). IIL’s presence has significantly contributed in controlling FMD in the country. IIL also support Government in its National Control Programme for prevention and cure of other diseases such as Brucellosis, PPR and CSF.
Through its exclusive Cooperative animal health field network, IIL caters to the technical service needs of the dairy farmers in the Cooperative milk shed areas. This vertical creates awareness among dairy farmers on issues related to animal health through its extensive activities at District Cooperative Societies (DCS) and Cooperative Milk Unions. Continued Medical Education (CME), Video On Wheels (VOW), Vaccination Camps and Farmer Contact Programme (FCP) activities are conducted regularly to improve animal health status.
IIL’s leadership in this niche is due to its outreach to all stake holders such as Government, livestock farmers and consumers through its participation in various exhibitions, conducting seminars and workshops, training programmes and participation in large conferences and summits on regular basis.
