Operation Gouraksha
Under Operation Gouraksha, IIL provides healthcare support to destitute cattle sheltered in Goushalas and Pinjrapoles. The initiative currently covers nearly 115 Goushalas, benefiting a cattle population of approximately 10 lakh animals.
Gift Milk Program in coordination with NDDB Foundation for Nutrition (NFN)
In support of Gift Milk Programme of NDDB Foundation for Nutrition, IIL is providing additional nutritional supplementation to school children. Under this scheme, fortified flavoured milk is distributed to the students in Govt. schools adopted by IIL. The initiative benefits over 4,523 students across schools in Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
Adoption of Government Schools
IIL has adopted four government schools in the vicinity of its Karkapatla facility in Hyderabad to enhance the quality of education and student well-being. The initiative provides uniforms, books, stationery, nutrition support, enhanced mid-day meals, maintenance assistance, and improved school infrastructure. Approximately 900 students across the four schools benefit from this program. As a result of IIL’s intervention, the strength of the children in the adopted schools have been doubled within a few years. The schools have also won awards at the district level.
Rabies free Kerala
IIL, along with Compassion for Animals Welfare Association (CAWA) and NDDB implemented the Rabies Free Kerala project through mass dog vaccination, awareness, and community outreach activities. The initiative vaccinated 42,097 dogs, conducted 3,475 school-based awareness sessions, and organized 2,925 community outreach programs across Kerala.
Portable Animal Birth Control Unit for a Rabies-Free Kerala
IIL contributed ₹2.50 million to provide a portable Animal Birth Control (ABC) Unit to the Animal Husbandry Department. The initiative, implemented with the support of CAWA and NDDB, aims to strengthen stray animal population management and contribute to a rabies-free Kerala
Vaccination of Free-Roaming Dogs through CAWA
IIL, in association with Compassion for Animals Welfare Association (CAWA), supports anti-rabies vaccination of free-roaming dogs to promote public awareness and prevent human-animal conflict. 2,09,920 anti-rabies vaccine doses has been distributed for dog vaccination during the year.
Restoration of Forest Grasslands through World Wildlife Fund (WWF)
IIL has undertaken a project through WWF to restore degraded forest grasslands in the Nagarjuna Sagar–Srisailam Tiger Reserve, promoting the harmonious coexistence of people, wildlife, and ecosystems. The project focuses on ecological restoration, invasive species management, animal health systems, and scientific monitoring.
Bridging the Skill Gap in Life Sciences
IIL supports the Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA) in providing industry-oriented upskilling and reskilling programs for youth entering the life sciences workforce. The initiative offers training in specialized domains such as microbiology, molecular biology, cell culture, and soft skills. The program has trained 140 candidates during last year, enhancing their employability.
Mobile Veterinary Clinic for Rural Animal Healthcare
IIL donated a fully equipped Mobile Veterinary Clinic to the College of Veterinary Science, Warangal. The initiative enhances access to veterinary care by providing timely treatment and healthcare services to livestock in rural communities.
Support for Stray Animal Welfare – Utkarsh Global Foundation
IIL extended support to Utkarsh Global Foundation, Pune, an NGO involved in the welfare of stray animals by providing food, medical attendance, and adoption. IIL is providing support by providing the Ant rabies vaccine – 6000 doses and multicomponent vaccine – 3000 doses per annum to give protection against deadly diseases.
Project “GO Green”– Cuttack
Pilot Project for Manure Management, known as Project Go GREEN is planned in the areas of OMFED, Cuttack, Odisha. The aim of the project is to enhance the earning potential of Dairy Farmers. and is expected to benefit approximately 100 dairy households with 2 to 5 cattle. Upon successful completion of this Pilot Project, IIL wishes to increase the scope of Project “Go Green” to other areas of Odisha / other states of India.
A Glimpse of Other CSR projects
IIL donates oxygen generation plant to TIMS, Gachibowli

IIL had facilitated the setup of an oxygen generation plant at Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS), Gachibowli. The oxygen plant works on the principle of Pressure Swing Adsorption and enables efficient distribution of oxygen for needy patients. The plant is capable of supplying oxygen to 70 patients at a time. IIL had taken up this initiative as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and executed it through Sambhav Foundation, an initiative of LabourNet, a Bengaluru-based Social Enterprise. The cost of the plant is Rs 1 crore.
IIL for Fight Against Corona
The pandemic of COVID-19 has posed serious challenges on the health and economic security of millions of people in India & worldwide. During these testing times, IIL joined hands with the nation in fighting against CORONA VIRUS. IIL and its staff had contributed a sum of Rs.2 Crores and Rs.33 Lakhs towards ‘PM CARES’ fund. IIL and its staff are proud to extend support and stand in solidarity with the nation in every aspect possible.

Project Calf Health & Nutrition Programme (CHANP)
Project CHANP is initiated by IIL with the aim of providing health and nutrition supplementation (mineral mixture fortified with vitamins) for a year to 500 selected female calves in the age group of 1 to 1.5 years in the goushalas.
