Description:
Megavac-R vaccine contains tissue culture Rabies virus, CVS strain, produced
on BHK21 cell line, and inactivated with aziridine compound. Aluminium hydroxide
gel is used as adjuvant. Each ml of Megavac-R contains antigen potency > 2.0
I.U. Megavac-R is recommended for immunisation of dogs and other domestic
animals against rabies for prophylactic vaccination.

Administration:
The vaccine vial should be thoroughly shaken before the contents are withdrawn.
Only sterile syringes and needles should be used. The vaccine should be injected
subcutaneously or intramuscularly through an area of clean, dry skin with all
precautions taken against contamination.

Dosage:
1ml by subcutaneous or intramuscular route.

Vaccination Regimen:
Prophylactic use : At 3 months of age and above. In case primary vaccination is
given below 3 months, a booster dose should be given at 3 months age. ·

Immunity:
Immunity is conferred for a period of 2 years. However, annual vaccination is
recommended in endemic areas.

Presentation:
Single dose (1ml) with a vaccination tag as per recommendation of CDC and a
disposable syringe.
Multi dose vial of 10ml.
